   True enough. Every year we get an influx from back east who think that Vancouver has the same climate as LA and are absolutely certain that putting out a “need money for pot” sign will help them rake in the dough. Then they go back to Montreal and bitch about how cold the Vancouver people are.

   *roflmao* This outrageously funny to a gulf islander like me. Our climate is mediterrean but you need to be able to employ yourself to live here and the cost of living is very high. Most folks I know are self employed in multiple ways and work long hours to enable their survival here in lotus land.
   Yet every year we get another down and out of it generation of barely literate loud mouthed “eastern cling-ons” with stardom in their eyes but no job skills and go grub stake. They think that we will fall all over ourselves to give them hand-outs and free rides while they recover from “the urban damage done to their souls”. HA! It doesn’t take them very long after the first deluging downpour heralding winter’s arrival to roll up their tarps and sleeping bags, hitch a ride back to the ferry and head back out east where they came from.

   I want to go somewhere and fix the “urban damage of my soul”, but only if I can bring my computer with me.

   I’m from Jersey; when I visited Hawai’i I remember how many of the white dudes there moved there and told me how everything is expesnive (when you have to import everything and live in the middle of the ocean, no duh!), so of course you have to work long hours to make it out there. Now I live in Washington state; I LOVE the summer weather, but I am regretting some of the cold spells we’re now getting. At least I’m fat, retain a lot of heat, and can manage the cold, thanks to those nor’easters back home!!!

   lol, I laughed at this. I’m from Victoria BC and I have 3 buddies currently going for an art degree. lol.

   One of them, is actually really damn good and has made tons of money already, I don’t even know why he’s going.
